Affordable websites, online shops and management tools, a marketplace for handmade products checked at the source, and two Expos between the Netherlands and Benin: three levers for decent work, gender equality and innovation.
Our three levers for impact
Contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
SIAM AWALÉ 2026 targets, pilot edition
Each feature of the platform serves a specific Sustainable Development Goal. We will publish our actual results edition after edition.
SDG 5 · Gender equality
Regional leads identify women artisans first. Each piece carries its maker’s name and place, and the proceeds of the sale go to her.
SIAM AWALÉ 2026 target: 200 women artisans identified.
SDG 8 · Decent work and economic growth
The marketplace sells all year round, in euros and in FCFA. CIAAC and MedA Conseils certify quality, MedA Conseils assigns the membership number and NVBB SARL pays the artisans.
SDG 9 · Industry, innovation and infrastructure
Affordable websites, online shops, management tools and accessibility checks (EAA) for SMEs, start-ups and incubators.
SDG 10 · Reduced inequalities
Artisans from Benin sell in the Netherlands and Europe: delivery by DHL and PostNL, payment by Mobile Money or card.
SDG 12 · Responsible consumption and production
Handmade pieces, checked at the source, with the workshop of origin shown: unique pieces and small series rather than mass production.
SDG 17 · Partnerships for the goals
Two Expos, one in Benin and one in the Netherlands, a lead in each region and public and private partners on both sides.
The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by the United Nations in 2015. We contribute to them without affiliation or certification; their names are quoted for information.
From traditional textiles to basketry, explore the wealth of know-how
Stand packages for each edition, reserved for verified artisans: registered on the marketplace with their membership code.
The stands are open to all Expo visitors, but only artisans registered on the marketplace with their membership code can book one, from their artisan account.
