Accessibility statement

Our commitment to making nenthol.nl usable by everyone, and what still needs to improve.

Last updated: 02/10/2026 at 02:54

1. Our commitment

We want the nenthol.nl platform to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification or high-contrast colours. To that end we apply the European standard EN 301 549 and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA, as required by the European Accessibility Act and its Dutch implementing law.

2. Compliance status

The site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA: most requirements are met; the points that do not yet comply are listed below.

3. What we checked

  • Automated check with axe-core (WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 rules, levels A and AA) on 30/09/2026 on the main pages: home, marketplace, shops, basket and payment, booking an appointment, shop registration, contact, regions. No errors remain on these pages.
  • On 01/10/2026, the same axe-core check on the 88 pages of the artisan area, the courier area and the administration, followed by a keyboard check: no errors remain, visible focus on every link, button and field, no keyboard trap. Artisans, couriers and staff run their work from these areas: they must be usable by everyone.
  • On 02/10/2026, the same axe-core check on the pages added or changed: online withdrawal (form and tracking page), terms and conditions (Appendix I folded), the Expo organisation chart and ticketing, sending money, IT services. No errors remain; the contrast of a number in the organisation chart and the labels of the ticket quantities have been fixed.
  • Manual check: full keyboard navigation, reading order, visible focus, image text alternatives, field labels, error messages, colour contrast, 200 % zoom.
  • Forms are presented step by step and each step is announced to screen readers; the forms remain usable without JavaScript.

4. Content that does not yet comply

  • Every photo of a creation or shop item must have a description to be published. These descriptions are written in French: on the Dutch and English pages they are not yet translated.
  • The invoices for artisans' creations and for shop items are PDF files that are not yet tagged for screen readers. On request, we send you their content in an accessible format. Invoices for made-to-measure bags and Expo tickets are web pages; the ticket shows its number as text next to the QR code.
  • The withdrawal PDFs (acknowledgement and model form attached to order confirmations) are not yet tagged for screen readers. The same content is available as text in the e-mail, on the withdrawal tracking page and in Appendix I of the terms and conditions.
  • The pages of the payment providers (Mollie, Kkiapay), the carriers' tracking pages (PostNL, DHL) and Google Maps (directions link) are the responsibility of those providers.
  • The pages of the artisan area, the courier area and the administration have passed the automated check and the keyboard check (see point 3). Testing with a screen reader (NVDA, VoiceOver) is still to be done for these areas: if a screen blocks you, tell us and we will help you complete your request.

5. Trouble accessing content?

Tell us what is blocking you: we will reply and offer another way to get the information or place your order.

We reply within 5 working days.

6. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Dutch authority that supervises the accessibility of online services: the Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM), through its ConsuWijzer service.

7. Updating this statement

This statement is reviewed at every significant change to the site, and at least once a year.
